TOM BINNS: BUTTONS - THE ONE MAN FAMILY PANTOMIME

Despite the difficulties facing theatre this year, one man is single-handedly trying to keep the magic of panto alive.

Sheffield comedian Tom Binns - aka Hospital DJ Ivan Brackenbury - earlier in the year converted his van into the world's first pop up mobile comedy club.

Tom has now written and produced "Buttons - the one-man pantomime" (He will also play Buttons)

Ten minutes into what should have been Cinderella, Buttons realises he’s on his own as the rest of the cast have been furloughed. (He missed the memo because he hadn't bothered to go to the rehearsals)

The star-studded cast from the cancelled panto (kids will know them from CBBC) make a surprise appearance on video call but Buttons is left to carry the show.

Turns out Buttons has got a bit complacent of late and has lost the magic of Panto but with the help of his Fairy God Mentor, played by Bernie Clifton, he rediscovers the magic just in time for a happy ending.

In a case of life imitating art, Bernie Clifton has been mentoring Tom in real life and has even allowed him to do the panto routines he was hoping to do himself this Christmas.

“This is a dream come true for me” says Binns “or it would be if only my dreams were this amazing, weird and specific.”

* Show lasts for 60 minutes
* Suitable for all ages

His choice of language and his politically incorrect jokes are all delivered with a cheeky grin and perfect comedy timing.

His trademark flying helmet and goggles, coupled with his coat of many patches, make him instantly recognisable as the man who put the "F" in Alice, with his popular version of "that" song.

Chubby Brown is a master of his craft and guarantees a regular supply of new jokes every time you see him.

T.REXTASY - The Greatest Hits Tour

Marc Bolan, with his band T.Rex, was one of the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original glam rock era.  With Bolan's special ingredient of Rock-a-Boogie songs, the band had a string of huge hits throughout the 1970s including Love to Boogie, Telegram Sam, Jeepster and 20th Century Boy.

T.Rextasy have now been performing around the world for over 25 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex.  The band is now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management.  The band has been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’.

Truly a rock’n’roll concert for all ages - If you would like to know exactly what a Marc Bolan concert was like in the 1970s, this show is for you!

Tickets £21

- The Independent on Sunday

‘Danielz is a curator of Bolan’s life, a perfectionist protector of the legacy – T.Rextasy play with a poignant, flamboyant skill.’

- The Observer

“Danielz looks and sounds uncannily like Bolan and has dedicated his life to the man” – The Times

“Danielz is more than a career lookalike.  Here we have a serious guitarist with the animal grace of early Bolan and the clear unequivocal love of the music”

– The Stage

NOT LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER

A parody of LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER by DH LAWRENCE

Think The Naked Gun and Airplane! mixed with a steamy costume drama. A laughter-filled parody of the D.H. Lawrence novel.

Lady Chatterley welcomes home her husband, Clifford, from a war that has left the world in tatters. With Clifford’s legs also in tatters, he arrives at Wragby Manor confined to a wheelchair and clutching his secret.

Despite her husband’s impotence, a subject that all struggle to avoid; Constance entertains the idea that one day they could have a child. However, as the couple grow apart Constance falls into a passionate, sexual and curiously experimental affair with estate gamekeeper: Mellors.

Expect long contemplative looks into the middle distance, moments of touching drama, plenty of farce and a gentle stroke of innuendo in this Mel Brooks style parody.
