A complete night of Soul, Funk and Disco.

We've been running "We Got Soul" now for the last few years and it has built into a truly great night and we cover Motown, Old Soul and a bit of Northern Soul, but we seem to get loads of requests that head into that ... shall we call it ... soulful disco?

Its not "Old Soul" and it's not "Stayin' Alive!", it's that grey area populated by Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel, Rock Your Baby, Love Really Hurts Without You, Ain't Nobody etc.
Great tunes, great dancing and they are soulful but we don't really bring them in much on a "We Got Soul" event ...so ...
Think “Car Wash”, “C.O.N.T.A.C.T.”, “Miss Grace”, “Young Hearts”, “Rock Your Baby”, “Never Too Much”, “Ain’t Nobody”, “Boogie Nights” , “Street Life” and you’ll get the vibe.

Quite simply a great night out and tickets only £6 in advance!

Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly both grew up in the same part of Texas. They recorded their earlier work in the Norman Petty Studios in Clovis, New Mexico, even at one point recording the same songs
‘An empty cup’ (and a broken date) as well as ‘You’ve Got Love’ both written by Roy Orbison.

The two Artists brought a unique Texas influence into their music and through their creative writing for both an individual sound was born!

Roy Orbison went on to write so many songs including ‘Only the Lonely’ & ‘Crying’, and Buddy Holly in his short Career showed his writing talents would of gone on to match any songwriter in the world, which earned him a place (13th) in ‘The Rolling Stone’ ‘100 Greatest Artist of all Time’!

Darren Page’s vocal abilities have brought a reputation that always delivers a quality to entertain, but Darren’s secret love in music is Roy Orbison which sits very comfortable in Darren Page’s voice range.

Marc Robinson has played the part of Buddy Holly all over the world and all over Great Britain; he performed in ‘Buddy ‘The Musical and numerous other shows, with partners he founded ‘In Dreams & ‘Rockin on Heavens Door’,  he also has many TV appearances to his name.

Marc’s latest show ‘Through the Decades with Roy Orbison & Buddy Holly’ will deliver a feel good factor with all the hits from…
I Drove all Night, Mean Woman Blues, Pretty Woman, Heartbeat, Peggy Sue, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore & Raining in my Heart, to name but a few!

All in this the 60th Anniversary year that since Buddy Holly left us!

After playing in Europe and all over Great Britain Darren Page joined Marc Robinson, they both have dedicated their careers to Roy Orbison & Buddy Holly, this two-hour uplifting Rock n Roll Show is full of pure nostalgia with all their Hits and a few earlier ones too!

Will Rock n Roll ever Die?  That’ll be the Day!

The music of Pink Floyd as it was meant to be experienced.

They Told Us What to Dream Pink Floyd’s two most important albums, complete and unabridged… and more.

There are tribute bands and then there are tribute bands… With members who have worked with the likes of David Bowie, Janet Jackson, Jon Bon Jovi, Brian Adams and Keith Emerson, and others who have performed on Broadway and in the Royal Albert Hall, The Floyd Effect isn’t just a bunch of enthusiasts who love the music of Pink Floyd, it’s a band of the highest calibre that loves the music of Pink Floyd.

Following its Dark Side Of Reason tour (which, despite being interrupted by the pandemic, sold out in theatres up and down the country) The Floyd Effect will be returning in 2022/23 with its most ambitious tour to date: They Told Us What to Dream. This highlights not one, but two complete Pink Floyd albums – indeed, the two that are considered by legions of their fans to be the band’s most important works. After kicking off the evening with some classic tracks from other albums in the Pink Floyd canon, The Floyd Effect will perform the whole of Wish You Were Here, something that has rarely (if ever) been heard in recent years. The second set will then feature a complete, unbroken performance of perhaps the greatest album of all time, Dark Side Of The Moon, as well as some other tracks lovingly recreated from Pink Floyd’s acclaimed live shows.

Already booked for headline slots at festivals in the UK and Europe in 2022, The Floyd Effect is renowned for the remarkable accuracy with which it performs the music of Pink Floyd, and the band faithfully recreates the sound and intensity of a Pink Floyd concert without recourse to racks of computers and other technological wizardry. Each performance is a genuine ‘live’ event supported by a dramatic light show that incorporates the iconic circular screen together with two sets of projections that make it a powerful and emotional experience.

Sit back and enjoy The Floyd Effect as the band takes you on a journey through the most revered music ever written and performed by Pink Floyd. Unless you were there the first time around, it was never as real as this.

Paul Young – Behind The Lens

He’s been a major star for four decades. Paul Young broke into the big time 40 years ago when No Parlez went to number one and spawned iconic hits like Wherever I Lay My Hat (That’s My Home). More success followed with the number one album The Secret Of Association and the worldwide hit Everytime You Go Away, not forgetting an appearance at Live Aid and more. Paul sustained that success – while having fun in his tex-mex band, Los Pacaminos. Now, on the 40th anniversary of No Parlez, he’s releasing a remarkable new record and publishing his extraordinary memoir; both called Behind The Lens. He’s touring the UK, too, where he’ll meet fans, sing hits and tell stories about his incredible career. It’s time to revel in the classic hits and learn the stories behind them as Paul steps out from Behind The Lens.
