Keeping The Dream Alive is a play written by Rose Cook Monk honouring the iconic Duncan Edwards and the events of the Munich air crash.

This incredible play tells the story of the world’s greatest footballer Duncan Edwards, who tragically died on the 21st February 1958 from injuries sustained in the infamous Munich aircraft disaster which killed eight of the magnificent Busby Babes, the wonderfully talented young Manchester United players, who under the Management of the iconic Matt Busby were the very best of young footballing talent.

This play is sympathetically and carefully penned with the full backing of Duncan's loving family. Revealing details about the disaster that are largely unknown, it tells the personal stories of those closest to Duncan in the wake of the tragedy.

This play features the very best of local talent and the one and only academy award winner Bernard Hill, who is a life long Manchester United fan.
