Date: Friday 16th July 2021
Time: 08:00pm10:15pm
Doors Open at 7pm

LIVE AT THE CIVIC IS BACK - SAFE AND SOCIALLY DISTANCED!

Come and enjoy brilliant live comedy with three TV acts at Brierley Hill Civic this November.

Face coverings must be worn, and can only be removed to drink or to eat. You will be allowed to drink during the show.

Drinks will be served via service - we are hoping to be using an app to allow you to order online on your phone from the safety of your seats. We'll bring it all to you!

Maximum of 6 tickets per order. Our social distancing seating plan will ensure there is always a gap of two seats between you and the next group on your row to ensure safety.

A PLEA FROM US: Please do not book the middle two seats on the outer rows of six, as it will mean we can only get two people on each of those rows instead of four. The same applies to the middle row of 10, please try not to book and block out two seats either side as this will also severely restrict our capacity. If necessary, to make the event work economically, we will move your tickets to the two seats next to them and inform you by email. Thanks in advance!

Now all the admin is out of the way during these crazy times, what about the comedy?

WHAT A LINE-UP WE HAVE!!!

TOM STADE

Since arriving in the UK, this Canadian émigré has steadily earned a reputation as one of the most distinctive and exciting stand-up talents around. He instantly made a splash on the UK circuit with his magnetic stage presence and first-class story-telling, and after years topping the bill and playing at international comedy festivals around the globe, he is now established as a leading touring act in his own right, and finds himself well on the road to being a household name.

His irrepressible charm translated effortlessly to TV, and he has been invited onto every major stand-up TV show in the country. He has performed on BBC One’s The John Bishop Show and has performed twice on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo. He performed to his largest live audience to date joining the star-studded line-up on Ch4’s Comedy Gala at London’s 02 arena back in 2013. He has also performed on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Lee Mack’s All Star Cast, both for BBC One, Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live for BBC Three and The Boyle Variety Performance for Ch4. He has performed twice on Ch4’s Stand-Up for the Week, was given an extended set on Dave’s One Night Stand and has also guested on BBC 2’s topical panel show Mock The Week. Other stand-up appearances include Comedy Central’s The World Stand’s Up, ITV2’s Comedy Cuts and multiple performances on Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store.

"Every inch a star...super confidence and charisma. If comedy is the new rock n roll, then he is Keith Richards" Scottish Daily Record

"Huge presence. Really knows how to work a room...properly hilarious, thoroughly enjoyable" Mirror

"So cool he could well be the answer to global warming. Gloriously funny." Scotsman

ANGELOS EPITHEMIOU

The creation of Dan Renton Skinner – a member of the Dutch Elm Conservatoire Sketch group – Angelos Epithemiou is the owner of a burger van who wants to break into show business.

He got his break in 2009, when he became a permanent team member on the revival of Shooting Stars, replacing Johnny Vegas on Ulrika Jonsson’s Team B, before becoming the scorer.

Angelos was nominated for the breakthrough award and best sketch or character act at the 2010 Chortle awards. In 2012 he starred in his own Channel 4 series.

NATHAN CATON

Nathan Caton’s charismatic and laid back style of stand-up has seen him quickly establish himself on the comedy circuit.

Regarded as one of the best young comics in the UK, Nathan’s award winning combination of personal and topical anecdotes has led to appearances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo, BBC Two’s Mock The Week, Channel 4’s Comedy Gala, The Superhuman Show, and It Was Alright in The 70’s, BBC Three’s Russell Howard’s Good News, BBC Radio 4’s Now Show, News Quiz, BT Sport’s The Football’s On, and his hit BBC Radio 4 sitcom, Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothing as well as his ever growing podcast, Nathan Caton’s Football Forum.

Nathan's new series Gran Jury is currently available on BBC Three.

Beginning stand up while still at University studying Architecture, Nathan quickly made a name for himself winning the Chortle Student Comic of the Year, FHM Stand Up Hero Finalist 2010 and Black Comedy Awards Best Young Act 2011. Nathan is now considered one of the hardest working comedians on the circuit headlining every club in the country.
